The Effectiveness of Hypnotherapy to Reduce Anxiety in Pre-Caesarean Section Women

Background: Anxiety felt by women before delivery with cesarean section can cause psychological problem, increase pain in surgery, analgesic needs, and prolong hospital treatment. Hypnotherapy has minimal side effects is easy to do reducing anxiety. The purpose of this study was analyze the effect hypnotherapy anxiety pre-cesarean section. Subjects Method: This a randomized controlled trial conducted at Karanganyar Hospital, PKU Muhammadiyah Karanganyar, Central Java, from July August 2019. A sample 60 selected for purposive sampling. 30 subjects treatment group received intervention control standard care. dependent variable independent hypnotherapy. tested Hamilton Rating Scale questionnaire. Hypnotherapy done using hypnosis recording/audio. data were analyzed t test. Results: Mean after (mean = 14.17; SD 4.36) lower than 19.93; 6.02), size -1.09, statistically significant (p <0.001).
